Wrestling Adds 20 New Faces While Looking to Build on 2024-25 Success
(Howell, MI)-- Cleary University head wrestling coach Matt Santos has announced the incoming recruiting class for the upcoming season, and twenty new Cougars are joining the program.
The 2024-25 season was the most successful season in program history, with two wrestlers qualifying for the NAIA National Tournament, and both just missing out on All-America status. Louden Stradling won the WHAC last season in his first year in the 149 lb., while Ja'Marcus Smith qualified in the 125 lb. division by placing fifth place in the WHAC. Both wrestlers return to the squad this season, and are joined by a group of new talent.
