(Westfield, IN)-- The Cleary Cougars men's lacrosse team dropped a neutral site game to the Midland University Warriors 19-2 Monday afternoon in Westfield, Indiana.
The Warriors jumped out on top early, scoring the games first four goals before Cleary got on the board, when Zack Eakes scored (assisted by Mike Smith) to make it 4-1. Midland would score two more goals before Cleary's Riley Finlay scored his first goal of the season (assisted by Danny Pudduck) to make it 6-2.
Unfortunately for the Cougars, the Warriors would score the games remaining 13 goals in a row to secure the 19-2 victory.
Adam Roper made 14 saves in the game, but drops to 0-2 on the season, as do the Cougars. Cleary will next be in action on Wednesday, March 2, when they travel to Mt. Vernon, Ohio to take on Mt. Vernon Nazarene in non-conference action. The game is scheduled to start at 5:00 PM
