Baseball to Face LTU To Decide WHAC's Final Tourney Berth

(Howell, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar baseball team thought their season had come to an end Sunday afternoon after dropping both games to Indiana Tech. However, WHAC guidelines indicate that baseball games that are suspended MUST be completed if they feature playoff implications. Cleary's game vs. Lawrence Tech on April 3 was suspended due to storms and rain, and that game will now be completed on Tuesday, May 2, at Lake Trust Stadium.
The winner of the game will become the 6th and final team to clinch a WHAC Tournament berth. The game was suspended with Lawrence Tech leading Cleary 5-2 in the bottom of the 2nd. The game will resume with Cleary at bat, and needing to overcome the three run deficit over the final 7+ innings.
Cleary currently holds a 17-14 conference record, while Lawrence tech holds a 16-13 record. The game will get back in action at 1:00 PM at Lake Trust Stadium.
