Women's Golf Matches Best Ever Finish at 2026 WHAC Championships

(Yorktown, IN)-- After the rain put a pause on round two's rounds on Monday, The Cleary Cougar women's golf team made a day two push to climb the standings at the WHAC Championships, played at The Players Club at Woodland Trails in Yorktown, Indiana.
- Jana L'Esperance was consistent en route to a tie for 3rd place finish, with rounds of 77, 80, and 80, giving her a total score of 237
- After a slow start in round one, Lauryn Jerke caught fire in rounds two and three, climbing the standings to finish in 6th place. She shot rounds of 87, 81, and 70 to total 238 strokes. Her third round featured a front-nine score of 31 (-5), and her final round of 70 was the lowest round over three rounds at the tournament.
- Lillian Stolz would shoot rounds of 84, 80, and 80, to total 244, as she finished in 12th place
- Finishing in a tie for 21st place was Allison Kobus, who had rounds of 85, 85, and 86, to total 256 strokes
- Emma Smith would round out the Cougars' scores with rounds of 104, 103, and 97, as she finished in 44th.
As a team, Cleary matched their best ever finish of third place, which they did in 2024-25, with three rounds of 333, 326, and 316 to total
