Women's Golf Takes Home 1st Place in Final Fall Event

(Sylvania, OH)-- The Cleary Cougar Women's Golf team traveled down to Sylvania, Ohio this morning for the Lourdes University Invitational. The team would take home 1st place with a team score of 346. 

• Jessica Shay led the way for the Cougars with a score of 83 to tie for 3rd place overall. 

• Alexis Sharplin finished with an 85 to tie for 7th place overall. 

• Jana L'Esperance and Emma Smith (Individual) both tied for 10th place overall with a score of 88.

• Madeline Swett would shoot a 90 to tie for 15th overall.

• Maryann Montgomery was entered as an individual and would tie for 24th overall after shooting a 97. 

• Lauryn Jerke shot a 98 to tie for 26th overall. 

• Brianna Swickard was entered as an individual and would shoot a 101 to tie for 29th overall. 

The Women's Golf team closes out their fall season with this tournament. As a team, they would finish in 1st place three times and 2nd place three times. Women's Golf will return after the calendar turns over to 2025 with a spring season.
