Ladies Defend Home Course Finishing 1st Overall Following Top 10 Performances
(Howell, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar Women's golf team stayed local today and hosted their first tournament of the season at Chemung Hills Golf Club for the Cleary University Fall Invitational. The ladies would take home first place as a team following some strong performances to defend their home course.

Jana L'Esperance would post her collegiate best round, posting a score of 80. Her score was good enough to place her 1st overall of all golfers in the tournament.

Lauryn Jerke followed her teammate finishing 2nd overall, posting a score of 85.

Kelsey Elliott shot a 91, placing her 4th overall.

Alexis Sharplin would follow, tied for 5th place after posting a round total of 93.

Madeline Swett would place 10th overall following a round score of 95.
The ladies will return on the links on October 2nd for the WHAC Fall Preview, a two-day tournament at Stonehedge North Golf Club in Augusta, Michigan.
