Women's Golf Finishes 3rd at Lourdes Invite

(Ottawa Lake, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar women's golf team saw three golfers finish in the top 5, and brought back a 3rd place finish at the Lourdes Invitational last Wednesday at the Legends Golf Club in Ottawa Lake, Michigan.
- Autumn Blaney earned a 2nd place finish after shooting a 77
- Madeline Swett finished one stroke behind Blaney, and shot a 78 to earn 3rd place individually. Swett was entered as an individual, and her score did not count towards Cleary's total.
- Olivia Root fired an 80 to finish in a tie for 5th place.
- Alexis Sharplin posted an 88 to tie for 14th
- Kelsey Elliott was entered as an individual, and finished in 17th place after shooting a 90
- Olivia Rushton and Emma Smith both shot 92 and tied for 21st
- Lauryn Jerke, Jana L'Esperance, and Maryann Montgomery rounded out the Cougars scores with a 96, 100, and 102 respectively.
As a team, Cleary finished in 3rd place with a score of 337, just one stroke behind Lourdes in 2nd place, and 3 strokes behind the champion Alma.
The Cougars will be back in action on Monday, September 12, and Tuesday, September 13, as they participate in the Cardinal Classic Invitational at Washtenaw Golf Club in Ypsilanti.
