Women's Golf Wins at LTU Invite

(Farmington Hills, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar women's golf team continued a strong season, as they won the Lawrence Tech Invite today at Farmington Hills Golf Club.
- Madeline Swett led the Cougars with an 85 (+14) to finish in a tie for 4th
- Autumn Blaney was two strokes back, shooting an 87 to finish in 6th place
- Alexis Sharplin shot an 88 to finish in 7th place
- Olivia Root and Olivia Rushton each shot 91 to tie for 8th place
- Lauryn Jerke shot a 92 to finish in a tie for 11th place
- Kelsey Elliott shot a 98 to tie for 21st
*Both Jerke and Elliott were entered as individuals for the tournament*
As a team, the Cougars shot a 351 to win by 3 strokes over Saint Francis (IN). Host Lawrence Tech shot a 358, and Madonna shot a 365.
The Cougars will be back in action on Monday, October 10, when they play in the Gray Wolf Invite hosted by Lourdes University.
