Women's Golf Earns 2nd Place at Aquinas Fall Invitational

(Wyoming, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar women's golf team continued to play solid golf, as they claimed second place in the Aquinas Fall Invitational on Tuesday at Kauffman Golf Course in Wyoming, Michigan.

• Autumn Blaney led the Cougars with an 80 (+8) to finish in 2nd place individually
• Olivia Root shot an 85 to finish in 7th place
• Alexis Sharplin fired a round of 89 to finish in a tie for 16th place
• Madeline Swett shot a 93 to tie for 22nd, and
• Olivia Rushton shot a 98 to finish in a tie for 29th.  

Cleary also entered a second team in the tournament as the "B" team.

• Lauryn Jerke shot an 88 to finish in a tie for 12th
• Kelsey Elliott shot an 89 to finish in a tie for 16th
• Jana L'Esperance shot a 94 to finish in 24th
• Emma Smith shot a 97 to finish in a tie for 27th, and
• Maryann Montgomery shot a 101 to finish in 35th place.

The Cougars will be back in action next Friday, September 30, when they host the JV/B-team Fall Tournament at Chemung Hills.
