Cleary Women's Golf Finishes in a T-5th at Trine Women's Invite

(Angola, IN)-- The Cleary Cougar women's golf team made the trip to northwest Indiana, and brought a tie for 5th place back to Howell.  The Cougars used two teams, an A and B team, in the tournament.

For the A team:

• Autumn Blaney shot an 86 to finish in 15th
• Freshman Lauryn Jerke shot an 87 to finish in a tie for 16th
• Olivia Root shot an 89 to finish in a tie for 20th
• Madeline Swett shot a 97 to finish in 44th

For the B team:

• Olivia Rushton shot an 83 to finish in a tie for 8th, and posting the lowest round of the day for a Cougar golfer
• Kelsey Elliott shot a 93 to finish in a tie for 30th
• Maryann Montgomery shot a 95 to finish in a tie for 39th
• Jana L'Esperance shot a 100 to finish in a tie for 48th

Cleary will have some time off, and will next be in action after Labor Day, when they make the trip down US-23 to participate in the Lourdes Invitational at Legacy Golf Course.  The cougars will tee off at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, September 7.
