Pedroza and Holman Earns WBB Weekly Honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Women's Basketball Player of the Week Awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen Lourdes' Emma Pedroza as the Offensive Player of the Week and Cleary's Melanin Holman as the Defensive Player of the Week.

Pedroza scored a career-high 34 points in Saturday's win over Cornerstone to follow up on a 17-point effort in a win over UNOH on Wednesday. The senior guard knocked down nine three-pointers on the week including six in the win over Cornerstone. She also added 12 assists, four steals and 12 rebounds.  

Holman helped the Cougars to a pair of WHAC wins over Defiance and Madonna. The freshman totaled 11 steals on the week to go along with two blocked shots, six assists and 11 rebounds.
