Men's Cross Country Earns 7th Place in WHAC Championships
(Grand Rapids, MI): The Cleary Men's Cross Country season came to an end, after recently resuming their season after months off, to finish in 7th place in the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championships held at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids Friday evening.
Freshman Ethan Beres finished in 28th place out of 92 total runners to lead the Cougars with a time of 27:41.26, just 2:19 off the winning pace. The next best time for Cleary came from freshman Camden Staples, who posted a time of 31:00.26, while freshman Joel Hartleb posted a time of 32:39.99. Rounding out the times for Cleary were freshman Victor Davis and Josh Bonner with times of 33:38.78 and 37:27.42 respectively.
The Cleary runners will turn their attention to Track and Field, as the season kicks off this morning as the Cougars will run in the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open hosted by Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH.
