Cross Country Continues to Make Strides at NAIA Great Lakes Challenge

(Grand Rapids, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's cross country teams were back in action Saturday, as they ran in the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids.
In the Men's 8K Meet:
- Earning a 153rd place finish was Hunter Anderson, with a time of 28:40.10
- Ben Iobe would run a 20:02.70 to finish in 176th
- Running a 29:36.30 was Noah Blondke, who finished in 200th
- Claiming 216th place was Preston Mackenzie, with a time of 29:55.10
- Jameson Watson would run a 30:12.10, finishing in 224th
- Devin Mackenzie and Logan Betke would run times of 32:23:00 and 34:38.50 respectively
As a team, Cleary earned 730 points, and finished in 27th place.
In the Women's 5K Meet:
- Rylie Bjorkman paced the way with a time of 23:32 to finish in 165th
- Finishing in 181st was Adisyn Pierce, who ran a 25:06
- Kiera Smith rounded out the Cougars times with a 25:53 to finish in 187th
Cleary's women did not earn a team score in the meet.
Both teams will return to action on Friday, November 7, when they run in the WHAC Championships.
