Track and Field Open Spring Up with Polar Bear Classic

(Marion, IN)-- The Cleary Cougar Men's and Women's Track and Field open up this spring with the Polar Bear Classic. This event took place at Indiana Wesleyan University.

In the Men's Meet:

• In the 100M, Peter Houston placed 41st with a time of 11.94. And Simbarashe Mazarura would place 43rd with a time of 12.05.

• In the 400M, Jose Domecq placed 44th with a time of 58.19. And Preston Mackenzie would finish in 49th place with a time of 59.51.

• In the 800M, Jose Domecq would place 35th with a time of 2:19.76. And Logan Betke placed 39th with a time of 2:46.04.

• In the Shot Put, Robert Karageorge would place 21st with a distance of 12.27m. Logan Rogers would place 31st with a throw distance of 10.79m. And Derrick Murray would finish in 36th place with a distance of 10.34m.

• In the Javelin, Rodrick Campbell would place 12th for a distance of 44.25m.

• In the 110 Hurdles, Luke St. Ledger would finish in 20th for a time of 18.63.

• In the 400M Hurdles, Luke St. Ledger placed 15th with a time of 1:07.98.

• In Discus, Robert Karageorge would finish 15th place with a distance of 38.58m. Logan Rogers placed 26th with a distance of 34.34m. And Derrick Murray would place 33rd with a distance of 32.20m.

• In the Hammer, Derrick Murray would finish 23rd place with a mark of 33.17m. And Robert Karageorge would place 30th with a mark of 24.86m

In the Women's Meet:

• In the 800M, Rylie Bjorkman would place 23rd with a time of 2:38.16.

• In the Shot Put, Lily Daugard would place 1st with a throw of 13.24m

• In the Javelin, Amelia Johnson would place 11th with a distance of 25.03m

• In the 400M Hurdles, Samantha Hoelscher would place 3rd with a time of 1:04.10.

• In Discus, Lily Daugard placed 13th with a distance of 30.16m.

• In Hammer, Lily Daugard would finish in 10th place for a mark of 34.16m. 

The Cougars will take action again April 2 at the Easter Invite hosted by Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, IN.
