Track and Field Competes at Don Kleinow Invitiational; Hoelscher Qualifies for Nationals

(Adrian, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's track and field teams were on the campus of Siena Heights University Thursday and Friday to compete in the Don Kleinow Invitational.
In the Men's Meet:
- Jacob Chouinard rana n 11.83 in the 100 M to finish in 35th
- In the 400 M, Dylan Tammadge ran 58.21 to finish in 28th
- Earning a 21st place finish in the 800 M was Donovan White, who ran a 2:03.06. Camden Staples ran 2:11.23 to finish in 33rd, while Joel Hartleb, Mason Wildie, and Logan Betke finished in 45th, 47th, and 48th resectively
- Preston Mackenzie would finish in 33rd in the 1500 M with a time of 4:34.19. Joel Hartleb ran a 4:36.02 to finish in 36th, and Logan Betke ran a 5:09.74 to finish in 44th
- In the 5000 M, Hunter Anderson ran a 17:05.29 to finish in 8th place. Ethan Lewis finished in 13th with a time of 19:18.18
- Luke St. Ledger would run a 17.29 in the 110 M hurdles to finish in 12th. St. Ledger would also finish in 12th in the 400 M hurdles with a time of 1:06.90
- The 4 x 400 M relay team of Jacob Chouinard, Preston Mackenzie, Donovan White, and Camden Staples ran a time of 3:43.74 to finish in 7th. The team of Dylan Tammadge, Devin Mackenzie, Hunter Anderson, and Ethan Lewis finished in 8th with a time of 4:18.93
- Rodrick Campbell jumped 5.96 M in the long jump to finish in 12th
- In the shot put, Tyree Jones threw 10.67 M to finish in 11th. Jacob Haley threw 8.99 M, and finished in 14th
- Noah Simpson would finish in 4th place in the discus with a mark of 42.09 M. Tyree Jones finished in 13th, Derrick Murray in 16th, and Logan Rogers in 19th
- In the Hammer, Noah Simpson would earned a 3rd place finish with a mark of 46.96 M. Logan Rogers threw 36.12 M to finish in 10th, while Jacob Haley came in 14th and Hunter Blackhurst in 18th
- Noah Simpson would finish his strong meet with a WIN in the javelin, with a throw of 57.69 M. Rodrick Campbell came in 8th with a throw of 38.74, while Hunter Blackhurst and Jacob Haley came in 14th and 15th
In the Women's Meet:
- Rylie Bjorkman finished in 28th in the 200 M with a time of 31.57
- In the 800 M, Rylie Bjorkman finished in 16th with a time of 2:41.58, while Kiera Smith finished in 32nd with a time of 3:10.98
- Samantha Hoelscher would finish in 2nd place in the 400 M hurdles with a time of 1:03.47. The mark was a "B" standard, and qualified Hoelscher for the NAIA National meet next month
- In the shot put, Sydney McCaig threw 10.29 M to earn an 8th place finish
- Carlee Beeney would WIN the discus with a throw of 40.98 M. Amelia Jason threw 27.83 M to finish in 13th, and Sydney McCaig threw 25.01 M to finish in 15th
- Carlee Beeney would claim a 10th place finish in the hammer with a mark of 34.86 M to finish in 10th place. Amelia Jason threw 25.60 M and finished in 15th
- In the javelin, Amelia Jason threw 21.32 M to finish in 11th
Both teams will return to action at the WHAC Championship meet next week at Siena Heights University.
