This will be the 9th player profile in a line of new player introductions that we will be bringing your way throughout the offseason. I’d like to introduce you to and welcome to Cougar Nation,#12 Devon Campbell.

Player Outlook
Devon is coming to CU after spending 2 years with the Decatur Blaze of the USPHL. He’s looking to integrate himself into the lineup and be someone his teammates can trust. Being able to provide a steady stream of points is something he’d like to achieve in his first season and over his career become one of the leaders on the team. He not only wants to be pushed to reach his full potential but also be a driving force in helping to push his teammates to get better on and off the ice. Previous coaches have described him as someone who gives 100% effort 100% of the time, so being in a competitive environment is nothing new to Devon and he is ready to get started in proving himself.

Coach’s Thoughts
I watched a lot of Devon this past year and I think we’ve added a player that is going to have an impact in all areas of the game for us. He is a difficult player to play against and can neutralize 1 of the other teams top lines while providing offense. Whether it’s on our top offensive line or a bottom line penalty killer, he will fit in well. Devon’s attitude and willingness to be pushed and coached will be welcomed with open arms. You’ll find a common theme with this recruiting class, we wanted to add some players with jam and who aren’t afraid to work hard, we definitely are getting that with Devon.

What brought Devon to Cleary?
“It is an amazing campus, with focused academics on business. Although I know I want to focus my career on business, I want to gain greater exposure to potential opportunities, and find what I am truly passionate about.”
