Clark's 3rd Place Finish Paces Men's Bowling to 5th; Women Finish in 10th at WHAC Detroit Open
(Allen Park, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's bowling teams were back in action Saturday, as they bowled in the WHAC's Detroit Open at Thunderbowl in Allen Park.
In the Men's Meet:
- AJ Clark would finish in 3rd place overall, with a three game series of 231-258-225, totalling 714 pins, to lead CU
- Jacob Chouinard would claim 22nd place with games of 221-199-227, and led the Cleary JV team
- With games of 221-194-227 was Howie Hammond, who finished in 23rd
- In 89th place was Bryce Owens, who had two games of 224-213
As a team, Cleary knocked down 6,196 pins, and finished in 5th place. Cleary's JV team knocked down 5,704 pins, and finished in 6th place
In the Women's Meet:
- Courtney Witten would bowl a three game series of 192-192-166 to total 550 pins, and finished in 33rd
- Finishing in 44th was Brianna Swickard, who had a three game series of 173-162-180
- With games of 215-134-146 was Olivia Solomon, who finished in 53rd
- Aubrey Rowlson would finish in 63rd with games of 200-152-129
- With games of 152-150-178 was Grace Polega, who finished in 64th
As a team, Cleary knocked down 5,086 pins, and finished in 10th place
Both teams will be back in action on Sunday, January 25, when they bowl in the AHBA Championships at the Monroe Sports Center in Monroe. The action gets underway at 8:00 AM
