Men's Bowling 7th, Women 5th at AHBA's 4th Jamboree
(Waterford, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's bowling teams returned to the lanes, as they participated in the ABHA #4 today at Century Bowl in Waterford.
In the Men's Meet:
- Howie Hammond would finish in 13th place after bowling a five game series of 166-200-226-215-236, totalling 1,043 pins
- Finishing in 26th was AJ Clark, who had games of 178-174-225-186-192
- With games of 181-184-201-189-174 was Ryan Ching, who finished in 28th place
- Ethan Parker would bowl in four games, with scores of 177-258-184-203, finishing in 40th
- In the JV tournament, Jacob Chouinard had games of 246-189-165-157-222, finishing in 6th place with 979 pins
As a team, Cleary knocked down 5,754 pins and finished in 7th place out of 13 teams. The Cleary JV team finished in 4th with a score of 5,386 pins.
In the Women's Meet:
- Grace Polega led the Cougars with a 9th place individual finish. She had a five game series of 178-179-148-235-147 to total 887 pins
- Olivia Solomon would also knock down 887 pins to tie for 9th place. She had games of 190-210-151-157-179
- Earning a 25th place finish was Brianna Swickard, who had a five game series of 160-172-158-145-180
- Aubrey Rowlson finished one spot behind her teammate in 26th place with five games of 196-170-148-152-142
- Courtney Witten would bowl three games with scores of 174-123-110, and Addison Wonnacott bowled two games of 173-155 to round out the Cougars' scores.
As a team, Cleary knocked down a total of 4,919 pins, and finished in 5th place out of 11 teams.
The Cougars will have a mini break, and will next be in action on Saturday, January 24, when they bowl in the WHAC Detroit Open. The meet will begin at 8:00 AM, and will take place at Thunderbowl in Allen Park.
