Esports Weekly Recap: Week of November 3

(Howell, MI)-- Here is the recap for Cleary Esports for the week of October 27:

On Wednesday, Call of Duty matched up against Southeastern Illinois College in Call of Duty, with a spot in the playoffs on the line. After dropping the first map, Cleary was able to gather some momentum and win the following three maps to secure the series 3-1, pushing their record up to 4-3 (of which, there was a five way tie for second place in the conference). Because of tiebreakers, Cleary finished the regular season as the two seed and has a bye into playoffs, which will kick off next week in the conference semifinals. 

On Friday, Cleary travelled to the WHAC playoffs in South Bend, Indiana to compete in Overwatch as the WHAC’s 6 seed. Though the experience was great, Cleary fell short in both played matches against Saint Xavier (0-3) in the quarterfinals, and against Aquinas (0-3) in the 5th place matchup. Cleary finishes the WHAC Overwatch season in 6th place- though Lily Daugard (support) and Jordan Rivera (tank) both come home with all-conference second team honors.
