Esports Weekly Recap: Week of February 2
(Howell, MI)-- Here is the recap for Cleary Esports for action during the week of January 26:
On Tuesday, Cleary Overwatch had a GLEC doubleheader against Heidelberg and Bethel at 5 and 7PM respectively. We came out firing on all cylinders for the first match, making quick work of Heidelberg with a score of 3-0- a clean sweep. We then matched up against Bethel, who were able to defeat us 0-3, however the score doesn’t show how close all three maps were, and the team was mostly happy with how they played despite the loss. If we get Bethel again, we’d like our chances at an upset. The Overwatch team starts their season 1-1 in GLEC play. Jordan Rivera got match MVP honors in the first match.
On Wednesday, Valorant opened up their WHAC season against Lourdes with a 2-0 (13-3, 13-0) victory. Pichit Charoenpanich got match MVP honors with a 31-11-5 Kills/Deaths/Assists Ratio, and we look forward to this week’s bout against Siena Heights as a real litmus test for our squad. Valorant is 1-0 in WHAC play.
