Coach Beth Strom was named Cleary University's head coach for the newly recreated Competitive Dance program on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, and brings more than 12 years of competitive dance experience within the NAIA.

Most recently, Strom was the head coach for Concordia University Ann Arbor's competitive dance program for nine seasons. She led the program to a WHAC Championship in 2025, and an 8th place overall finish at the 2025 NAIA National Championship.  She was voted WHAC Coach of the Year for 2025. During her time at Concordia, the Concordia Dance Team held a ranking in the top 10 and qualified for the NAIA National Championship for three consecutive seasons (2023, 2024, 2025). The Concordia Dance Team also had their inaugural appearance at the 2025 Dance Team Union College Classic where they placed in the top 5 for both open team performance and NAIA hip hop.

As Head Coach, Strom saw student-athletes named to WHAC All-Conference Selections 10 times, including two WHAC Dancers of the Year, and two athletes named WHAC Newcomer of the Year. Two athletes were named NAIA All-American Selections. Academics continued to remain a top priority for Strom as her athletes were named WHAC Scholar-Athletes 20 times and NAIA Academic All-American Selections 15 times. 

While at CUAA, Strom was also the Dance Chair for the WHAC and was named the WHAC Champion of Character Coach in 2021 and 2023.  She holds numerous dance certifications and has served on the Executive Committee for dance at the NAIA level.

Strom holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary communication and business from Aquinas College, and a master’s degree from Grand Valley State University in college student affairs leadership.

She lives in Ann Arbor with her husband, Steve, and their two sons.
