Bio

Bill Bliss was named the Cleary University baseball pitching coach prior to the 2021-22 season.  A 3rd round draftee by the Chicago Cubs in 1991, Bliss pitched in the MLB Minor Leagues from 1991-1995 for the Peoria Chiefs, Geneva Cubs, and the Salem Avalanche.  After retiring from his playing career, Bliss became a scout, and helped the Philadelphia Phillies win their first World Series in 28 years, when the team won in 2008.  

Bliss is a native of Stoneboro, Pennsylvania, and was drafted #85 overall in the 1991 Amateur Baseball Draft out of Villanova.
