Cleary Sweeps Men's Hockey Weekly Honors
by WHAC Athletic Communications
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Hockey Player of the Week Awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, SID's have chosen Cleary's Dylan Tammadge as the Offensive Player of the Week and teammate Nick Meyering as the Defensive Player of the Week.
Tammadge and Meyering helped the Cougars to a weekend sweep of #19 Indiana Tech in WHAC play, both via shootouts. Tammadge scored twice in Saturday's game at Indiana Tech and also added a pair of assists in the series. Tammadge proved clutch, as he scored the game winning goal in both of Cleary's shootouts. Meyering made 59 saves over two games against the Warriors. The senior also earned two shootout victories
