WHAC Announces Season Hockey Awards; Tammadge and Smith Recognized

(Howell, MI)-- The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced it's 2025 season awards, and multiple hockey players have been recognized.

Dylan Tammadge was named to the First-Team All-WHAC and was named the Conference's Newcomer of the Year.  Tammadge, a freshman from Kanata, Ontario, Canada scored 28 goals with 19 assists to total 47 points.  Tammadge led the WHAC with 28 goals, and was tied for the WHAC lead with 7 power play goals.  31 of those 47 points were scored in conference games, when he scored 20 goals and added 11 assists. 
He also had 2 game winning goals this season, and led the team with 3 hat-tricks, with those performances taking place against Rochester Christian on Oct. 11, Concordia on Oct. 25, and against Toledo on Nov. 23.  He had six games in which he had at least 3 points in a game.  It is the second consecutive season in which a Cougar was named a member of the First-Team All-Conference after Wes Smith was named First-Team All-Conference last season.

For the second consecutive season, Wes Smith has been recognized.  Smith was named Second-Team All-Conference after scoring 21 goals with 28 assists to total 49 points on the season.  His 49 total points led the WHAC, and his 28 assists was tied for the WHAC lead.  He led CU with points in WHAC play with 32 points, scoring 16 goals and adding 16 assists.  Smith, a senior from Brighton, Michigan, is the third two-time All-Conference recipient at Cleary since the school joined the WHAC, joining men's golf's Mike Kee and esports' Colin Jetten.

Peter Houston was named as Cleary's representative  to the Champion of Character teams, for best representing the five core character values of the NAIA.

Also recognized were student-athletes who were named to the All-Academic Team.  To be honored, student-athletes must have had at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and have attended Cleary for at least one full year.  They were (in alphabetical order):
